Festival Details
New Zealand has a strong choral tradition. It springs both from European roots and from the choral traditions of Maori and other Polynesian people whose earlier communal life focussed on choral performance. More on Polynesian Choral…
New Zealand schools also are comparatively experienced in hosting visiting groups from northern hemisphere schools. Our own choirs have valued the opportunity to meet with other choristers in their home contexts while they’re touring overseas. Our wish is to allow visiting choirs an opportunity to tour and perform in New Zealand, to meet NZ school choirs here and to meet other visiting choirs at the same time.
