Guest choirs may choose to arrive beforehand or stay later and have a custom tour program made to suit.  Northern hemisphere choirs may go on to Australia directly or after touring, by our arrangement or their own, perhaps joining an Australian choirs from the SingDownunder festival in their home city.

We welcome ttbb, mixed-voice choirs, treble-voice choirs… (our high school choirs are aged 13-18).  The festival offers visiting choirs a safe, exotic, quality choral summer school joining a large group of New Zealand and visiting choirs.  It exposes guest choirs to Maori and Polynesian choral styles uniquely present in Auckland, a metropolitan cathedral choral competition and touring and singing in diverse contexts in New Zealand’s beautiful, intersting regions.

The festival not only offers the chance to sing downunder, but also gives choristers soem opportunity to experience life downunder.    It encourages exchange and mutual outreach, our main objective.
